Prince Azeez Momoh Ricardo, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of eight people following a cement-laden truck accident in Akungba Akoko.
In a statement signed by his aide, Odudu Ayodele, Prince Ricardo commiserated with the families of the victims and the entire Akungba Akoko community, describing the incident as “heartbreaking and devastating.”
He urged residents to remain strong in the face of the tragedy, while calling on relevant authorities to take swift action to prevent similar accidents in the future.
“Our hearts go out to the families who lost loved ones in this unimaginable tragedy. May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may the survivors find strength and courage during this difficult period,” the APC leader said.
Prince Ricardo also urged the contractor handling the road dualization project to expedite action and ensure that the road is safe for residents during the dualization process.
He commended emergency responders for their prompt intervention at the scene and appealed for increased road safety measures in the area.
“We know that our caring Governor will respond with assistance to the affected families by supporting them,” he added.
