Truck Accident: Ipinsagba visits Akungba monarch, commiserates with victims’ families

Senator Olajide Ipinsagba, representing Ondo North Senatorial District, has paid a condolence visit to the Alale of Akungba, Oba Isiaka Oseni, and the people of Akungba-Akoko following the tragic truck accident that claimed several lives in the community.

During the visit, Senator Ipinsagba described the incident as a heartbreaking tragedy that has thrown the entire Akoko area into mourning. He prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and asked God to comfort the bereaved families.

“This sad occurrence is quite unfortunate. My prayers are with the victims’ families and the entire Akungba community. May God in His mercy prevent such tragedies from happening again in Akungba, Akoko, and Ondo State as a whole,” he said.

The Senator also commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his swift response to the incident and for initiating the dualisation of the Akungba–Ikare road, which he described as a sustainable step toward preventing future road mishaps in the area.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa has once again shown compassionate leadership by visiting the accident scene and consoling the affected families. I have confidence in his capacity and his genuine commitment to the progress of Ondo State,” Ipinsagba stated.

He urged residents of the community to remain strong and assured them that relevant authorities were already working on measures to ensure safer road use across the state.

The condolence visit, according to a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Prince Adeyinka Ajagunna, underscores Senator Ipinsagba’s solidarity with the people of Akungba in their moment of grief.
