It was a day filled with joy, music, and cultural splendour on Saturday, November 2, 2025, as families, friends, and well-wishers gathered to witness the wedding of Oluwasola Sunday, popularly known as Sunny Brown, and his heartthrob, Oluwatosin Opeyemi, in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The colourful ceremony, which exuded elegance and deep traditional charm, took place at the beautifully decorated Adu Memorial Event Centre, located along CAC Oke-Isegun, Irowo Street, Akure.
According to Newsline NG, the event drew dignitaries, clerics, and members of the Christ Apostolic Church, Mountain of Fulfillment, Owo, who turned out in large numbers to honour the couple and their families — Mr. and Mrs. Folorunso Aladegbaye and Mr. and Mrs. Ajayi Omotayo.
Long before the ceremony officially began, the hall was already filled to capacity, a testament to the couple’s popularity and the high regard their families command within the community. The venue glittered in hues of white and gold, reflecting the joyful mood that defined the celebration.
The church service was held at CAC Oke Ajaye, 32 Opopoola Street, Off Falodu Junction, Oshinle, Akure, following the traditional engagement and payment of the bride price earlier at Adu Memorial Event Centre.
The groom, Sunny Brown, who is well-known for his humility and growing success as a young entrepreneur in Akure’s business circle, looked radiant in his tailored outfit. His union with Oluwatosin, described by many as “a perfect match made in heaven,” was celebrated as the beginning of a new and inspiring chapter for both families.
Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Sunday Afolayan, in his address, urged the couple to build their marriage on love, faith, and mutual understanding.
He advised, “You must have your daily devotion together, reason together every day, communicate on a daily basis, never contemplate revenge, and keep no secret from yourselves.”
In a moment of heartfelt appreciation, the parents of the groom and bride jointly expressed gratitude to all guests who came from far and near to rejoice with their children. They prayed that God would bless and sustain the union with peace, joy, and fruitfulness.
