Uphold discipline, be law-abiding, AAUA VC tells new students

Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State, Professor Olugbenga E. Ige, has charged newly admitted and returning students to uphold discipline and conduct themselves responsibly as the 2025/2026 academic session begins.

Prof. Ige gave the advice on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, during an interaction with some media organisations in his office.

He congratulated the new students for securing admission into the university, noting that they were among the few selected from thousands of applicants who sought entry into the institution.

The Vice Chancellor urged students to complete their online registration and pay their school fees promptly to ensure a hitch-free academic exercise.

He also reminded them to acquaint themselves with the university’s rules and regulations and abide by them to sustain a peaceful and conducive learning environment.

According to him, “The University remains committed to providing quality education, effective support services, and a safe environment for all students and members of its community.”

Prof. Ige further encouraged students to be security conscious, embrace integrity, diligence, and respect—values enshrined in the university’s motto, For Learning and Service.
