The Ondo State Youth Parliament, Akoko Caucus, has congratulated Hon. Kolawole Babatunde on his appointment as Special Adviser on Legislative and Party Affairs to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
In a statement signed by the Leader of the Akoko Caucus and Chief Whip of the Parliament, Hon. Sogbe Oluwadamilola, the group described Babatunde as a “quintessential leader” whose appointment reflects the governor’s commitment to merit and excellence in governance.
Oluwadamilola noted that the former lawmaker, fondly called “Amaechi of Afrika,” had left indelible marks in legislative service through his dedication, intellect, and vision for the public good.
He commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for his choice, saying it was a clear demonstration of wisdom and political foresight to entrust a proven leader with such a critical advisory role.
According to him, Babatunde’s wealth of experience and leadership capacity will strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) and enhance the administration’s legislative relations.
He assured that the youth of Ondo State, particularly from Akoko, would continue to support Babatunde and the governor’s administration in achieving progress and stability across the state.
Oluwadamilola prayed for divine wisdom and strength for Babatunde to succeed in his new role, expressing optimism that his appointment would mark another milestone in the advancement of Ondo State.
