APC Chieftain, Apalowo Thalis, hosts party leaders, members in Akoko

An All Progressives Congress chieftain, Hon. Thalis Olonite Apalowo, on Tuesday played host to party leaders and members at his country home in Ogbagi Akoko, Ondo State, in what was described as a strategic meeting aimed at strengthening unity and commitment within the party.

The gathering brought together party stalwarts from across the area, with speakers highlighting the need for cohesion and sustained support for the APC ahead of future political engagements.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of APC in Ogbagi Akoko Ward 6, Comrade Musa Jimoh, commended Apalowo for his unwavering support for party members, describing him as a dependable leader who has consistently contributed to the growth and welfare of the party at the grassroots.

In his remarks, Apalowo said the meeting was organised in honour of the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, whom he described as a people-oriented leader with a strong passion for service.

According to him, the best way to appreciate the minister’s leadership was for party members to remain loyal and work towards the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, stressing that effective leadership deserved continuity.

A former Chief Judge of Ondo State, Hon. Justice Olasehinde Kumuyi (retd.), lauded both Tunji-Ojo and Apalowo for what he described as their inclusive approach to development, noting that Ogbagi Akoko had continued to benefit from their interventions.

Also speaking, a former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oluwasegunota Bolarinwa, praised Tunji-Ojo for the reforms he has initiated at the Ministry of Interior, describing him as one of the outstanding performers in the current administration and a source of pride to Ondo State.

An APC elder, Alhaji Oloruntoba, urged party members to remain resolute and united as preparations gradually begin ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting was attended by party leaders, community elders and members, who reaffirmed their loyalty to the APC and pledged continued support for its leadership at all levels.
