Chief Ogunyeye will also be inducted into the Moba Hall of Fame at the ceremony scheduled for noon, alongside three other eminent sons of the area.

The award is being conferred by the Moba Unity and Development Association Inc. on behalf of its chairman and Board of Trustees. With the conferment, Ogunyeye becomes entitled to the post-nominal title, MOM (Moba Order of Merit).

In a notification and congratulatory message signed by the programme moderator, Yinka Awoyinka, Esq., the association expressed optimism that Ogunyeye and the other recipients would sustain their service and positive impact on Mobaland and the wider society.

MUDA, which comprises indigenes from the various towns in Moba Local Government Area, serves as a platform for promoting unity, mutual understanding and rapid development across the council.

An entrepreneur and infotech engineer, Ogunyeye is a former Chief Executive Officer of Toptech Engineering Company, Lagos. He has been widely acknowledged for initiating and supporting development projects in Igogo Ekiti, his hometown, as well as in other parts of Ekiti State and beyond.

He is also known for his philanthropic activities, particularly in the areas of education and welfare, through which many indigent and underprivileged persons have benefited.

Other recipients of the honour include Elder Samuel Olayemi Kayode, a former Ekiti State Commissioner for Finance; Hon. Justice Olusegun Ogunyemi, described as a trailblazer in Moba unity; and Prince Adebowale Oyedeji, who is being recognised for his achievements in banking and community development. The awardees are drawn from Otun Ekiti, Osun Ekiti and Erinmope Ekiti.

Since the announcement of his nomination, Ogunyeye has received numerous goodwill messages from within and outside the country, with many describing him as a worthy ambassador of his community.

Reacting to the honour, the chief expressed appreciation to the organisers and reaffirmed his commitment to serving humanity and contributing to societal development.
