Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has sparked fresh concern after issuing a brief cry for help amid his ongoing marital rift with Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
In a short Instagram Story posted on Wednesday, the singer wrote, “Help me,” marking his first direct public comment since the controversy surrounding his marriage began dominating social media.
His post came shortly after his brother, Hyacinth Idibia, voiced worry over the star’s emotional state.
Hyacinth had earlier shared a message on Instagram alongside lyrics from one of 2Baba’s songs, writing, “You’ve always been ahead, always been brilliant… Allow us save you. You’ve been suffering for too long. God knows.”
The tension between 2Baba and Osawaru has been building for weeks.
The dispute reportedly escalated in the United Kingdom, where a heated altercation led to police involvement and the singer’s brief arrest.
The matter resurfaced during a recent Instagram Live session hosted by broadcaster Daddy Freeze, where both parties traded words in a dramatic public confrontation.
As of press time, neither 2Baba nor Osawaru has released a formal statement addressing the unfolding marital dispute.
