The Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Jide Ipinsagba, has commenced the third phase of his school renovation initiative, aimed at improving learning conditions and educational infrastructure across communities in the district.
The development was disclosed in a statement on Friday by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Prince Adeyinka Ajagunna, who said the latest phase was part of the senator’s sustained commitment to repositioning education in Ondo North.
According to the statement, schools selected for renovation under the new phase include St John’s Primary School, Ese Akoko; Ajowa Community Grammar School, Ajowa; Model Primary School, Imeri, Ose Local Government Area; St Paul Primary School, Okeluse, Ose Local Government Area; Lennon Jubilee High School, Ikare; A.U.D Grammar School, Ikare; Omolore High School, Irun Akoko; and Irun/Ogbagi Anglican Grammar School.
Ajagunna noted that renovation works at the affected schools are expected to be completed within two months.
“Senator Ipinsagba believes that a conducive learning environment is fundamental to academic excellence and human capital development, which is why education remains a top priority of his legislative interventions,” the statement read.
The media aide further highlighted the senator’s earlier educational interventions, which include the award of bursaries to over 1,000 indigent students, sponsorship of JAMB and SSCE registration fees, distribution of free JAMB forms, and the provision of educational materials to more than 100 students across the district.
On infrastructure development, the statement disclosed that the contractor handling the Ekan Ile Road project in Ikare Akoko is expected to resume construction work before the end of January 2026.
“The senator has also facilitated the delivery of two electricity transformers to Ogbagi Akoko, while several other communities in the district have earlier benefited from similar interventions,” he added.
Residents of Ondo North, the statement said, have continued to commend Ipinsagba for what they described as transformative projects, including the facilitation of an ICT-based university in Ikare Akoko and the installation of solar-powered streetlights across towns and villages in Akoko North.
The statement reaffirmed that the senator remains committed to improving the living standards of his constituents through sustained interventions in education, healthcare, infrastructure and agriculture.
