Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has declared herself the President-General of the Single Mothers’ Association, drawing wide reactions across social media.
The actress made the announcement during the birthday celebration of fellow actress Lola Alao, where a video of her remarks later went viral online.
Speaking in the now trending clip, Iyabo said, “Gone are the days that being a single mother was a stigma.”
She went on to celebrate the progress and achievements of single mothers, noting that “Single mothers’ children are now doing great things in our society.”
She added, “Now, men are chasing and even begging us the single mothers that they want to marry us as a wife and not side chick because we have experience. If a man leaves you, another man will accept you. I’m now the President General of the Single Mothers Association.”
