The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, has charged members of staff and students of the institution to embrace unity, peace and collective commitment to sustain the growth and development of the polytechnic in the new year.
Ebeloku gave the charge in his New Year message to the polytechnic community on Monday, noting that the institution had recorded remarkable progress over the past decade through collective effort and shared vision.
He said Management was determined to further accelerate the institution’s growth and pursue sustainable development in 2026 with renewed zeal and dedication.
According to him, as part of activities to usher in the new year, Management has approved the holding of an inter-religious prayer meeting for staff and students to seek divine guidance, favour and protection for the institution.
“The inter-religious prayer meeting will hold on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the Multipurpose Auditorium. I encourage every member of the polytechnic community to attend this special programme,” the Rector said.
Ebeloku expressed appreciation to staff and students for their support, cooperation and prayers, which he said contributed significantly to the progress recorded by the institution in the past year.
He urged the polytechnic community to sustain the spirit of teamwork and unity in projecting and promoting the vision of the institution, while assuring that Management would continue to prioritise the welfare of staff and students within available resources.
The Rector also admonished staff and students to be peace-loving, forward-looking and supportive of one another, expressing optimism that the new year would usher in renewed hope, initiatives, collaborations and engagements.
He added that the institution was hopeful of increased staff strength, higher student enrolment and improved infrastructural development in 2026.
Ebeloku called on all stakeholders to remain united and committed to achieving the lofty goals set for the institution in the new year, while wishing the entire polytechnic community a fruitful year filled with progress and divine guidance.
