The global smartphone market is gearing up for a major shake-up in 2026, as leading manufacturers prepare to roll out devices packed with smarter software, faster processors and more advanced cameras.
Industry watchers say breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, next-generation chipsets and battery technology will define the year, alongside continued improvements in foldable designs and charging speeds.
Major brands such as Samsung, Apple, Google and Huawei are expected to lead the charge with flagship upgrades, while others, including Sony, are focusing on durability and longer software support to attract users.

Samsung is tipped to unveil the Galaxy S26 series at its Unpacked event on February 25, 2026. The lineup is expected to feature a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a 1–120Hz refresh rate, powered by the Exynos 2600 chipset, alongside a 5,000mAh battery and upgraded camera sensors.
