The Ogbagi Youth Assembly has paid a familiarisation visit to the Director-General of the Ogbagi Youth Advancement Team, Hon. Thalis Apalowo, commending him for his contributions to youth development and community growth.
The visit, according to the youth body, was aimed at engaging Apalowo on issues bordering on youth empowerment while appreciating his interventions that have positively impacted young people in the community.
During the interaction, Apalowo thanked the youths for the gesture and urged them to remain united in the pursuit of collective progress.
"It is crucial that you come together, regardless of the challenges and criticisms you may face," he said, stressing that unity remained vital to overcoming obstacles and achieving sustainable development.
Members of the assembly, in their remarks, praised Apalowo’s leadership style, particularly his role in facilitating employment opportunities for youths through the office of Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo.
"Your initiatives have made a significant difference in our community," a representative of the group stated.
Apalowo also briefed the youths on the status of the ongoing road project in Ogbagi, assuring them that steps were being taken to address the infrastructure challenges confronting the area.
"We are committed to ensuring that our roads are safe and accessible," he added.
The meeting ended with both parties pledging to strengthen collaboration in advancing the socio-economic development of Ogbagi and improving prospects for its youth population.
