The Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has announced the reopening of St. Louis Nursery and Primary School in Ondo West Local Government Area.
The move came after a joint meeting involving the ministry, the Catholic Diocese of Ondo, school officials, and the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA).
School authorities have pledged to resume academic activities immediately while strictly following all state regulations for private educational institutions.
Reverend Father (Dr.) Omolaki, Education Secretary of the Catholic Diocese, formally apologised to the state government for past regulatory breaches.
He assured the ministry that the school would take all necessary steps to prevent any future violations that could affect pupils’ rights or disrupt order.
Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Igbekele Ajibefun, urged the school to maintain regular communication with the ministry’s zonal office to ensure smooth operations and adherence to rules.
The ministry said the reopening underscores its commitment to maintaining high standards of discipline, safety, and welfare for children in all schools across the state.
