The Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board, Hon. Dr Victor Olusegun Ategbole, has announced plans to collaborate with the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission and a United States-based non-governmental organisation to enhance healthcare delivery across Ondo State.
Ategbole, popularly known as Bobagunwa, disclosed this in a statement issued after a strategic meeting with the Chairman of OSOPADEC, Prince Biyi Poroye.
He said the engagement focused on practical strategies for attracting critical medical equipment to health centres across the state, with the aim of strengthening healthcare infrastructure and improving the quality of service delivery.
According to him, the proposed collaboration aligns with the broader healthcare vision of the Ondo State Government, stressing that partnerships remain key to achieving sustainable progress in the health sector.
“Our discussion focused on how we can work together to bring in essential medical equipment that will directly strengthen our health facilities and improve the quality of care available to our people,” Ategbole stated.
The Hospitals Management Board chairman, who is also a medical doctor based in the United States, noted that global partnerships play a crucial role in healthcare development, adding that international expertise and resources could be leveraged to support the state’s health system.
He also acknowledged the participation of the Executive Director of Projects at OSOPADEC, Dr Olujimi Kufo, describing the engagement as a demonstration of shared commitment to delivering people-centred and result-oriented healthcare solutions.
Ategbole reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the collaboration yields measurable outcomes, including better-equipped health facilities, improved service delivery and enhanced public health outcomes across the state.
“Our goal is to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, improve access to quality medical services and ensure that the people of Ondo State benefit from well-coordinated and impactful interventions,” he added.
He assured residents that further engagements and necessary processes would be pursued to ensure the successful implementation of the initiative in the interest of the people.
