Comrade Olaleye Olawale has officially declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Akoko South East/Akoko South West Federal Constituency, pledging to champion youth employment and redefine representation in the constituency.
Olawale made his ambition known in a statement issued to newsmen, where he said his decision followed wide consultations with stakeholders, youths and community leaders across the constituency who, according to him, demanded a new direction in leadership.
The aspirant who hails from Supare-Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State, said his campaign would be driven by “fresh ideas” aimed at addressing unemployment, economic hardship and limited opportunities facing young people in the area.
He vowed to change the existing narrative by promoting policies that encourage skills development, entrepreneurship and sustainable empowerment programmes.
According to him, effective representation must go beyond lawmaking to include direct interventions that improve livelihoods and open pathways for economic growth, especially for young people and small business owners.
Olawale stressed that youth inclusion would remain central to his agenda, noting that the constituency possesses enormous human potential that can be harnessed through deliberate investment in innovation, education and vocational development.
He also promised to pursue people-oriented legislation and attract federal projects that would improve infrastructure, boost local commerce and enhance social welfare across communities within Akoko South East and Akoko South West.
The aspirant called on residents of the constituency to support his vision, assuring them of transparent leadership, accessibility and a representation style anchored on accountability and grassroots engagement if elected into office.
