The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Dr Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, has been honoured with the Yoruba Leadership Award of Integrity by the Yoruba Youth Assembly.
The award was presented during a ceremony held at the institution in Ondo State on Thursday, in recognition of the rector’s leadership and contributions to education.
Speaking at the event, the President of the assembly, Olarinde Thomas, said the honour was bestowed on Ebeloku for his commitment to educational development and youth empowerment across institutions he had served.
Thomas noted that the rector was also conferred with the title, “Grand Commander of Ideal Education in Nigeria for 2025,” citing his impact on students, staff and the wider academic community.
The ceremony was attended by principal officers of the polytechnic, including the Deputy Rector, Samson Omogbehin; Registrar, Gabriel Awe; Bursar, Ebenezer Olabode; and Polytechnic Librarian, Rachael Aladeniyi, among others.
In his acceptance speech, Ebeloku expressed appreciation to the youth body for the recognition, dedicating the award to the institution’s management, staff and students for their support.
He said the honour would further motivate him to sustain reforms and initiatives aimed at improving academic standards and institutional growth.
The YYA, headquartered in Ibadan, is a socio-cultural organisation that promotes Yoruba language, heritage and youth development across the South-West.
