The National Association of Akungba Students (NAAS), Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) Chapter, has commended its Patroness, Ambassador Bisayo Busari-Akinnadeju, for awarding scholarships and distributing learning materials to less-privileged secondary school pupils in Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State.
The student body described the intervention as a strategic investment in education and youth development, noting that it would help ease the financial burden on indigent pupils who might otherwise be forced to drop out of school.
According to NAAS, the initiative, carried out under the ABA Cares Initiative, combined scholarship support with the provision of essential educational materials, thereby addressing both the immediate academic needs of the beneficiaries and their long-term educational stability.
In a statement jointly signed by the NAAS President, Comrade Adedayo Yetunde Stella; the General Secretary, Comrade Ganiyu Quadri; and the Public Relations Officer, Comrade Olarewaju Emiloluwa, the association said Busari-Akinnadeju’s consistent focus on education, leadership and civic engagement underscored her commitment to grassroots development and nation-building.
The association noted that such efforts were critical to sustainable national development, stressing that empowering young people at the grassroots remained a vital foundation for societal progress.
NAAS, on behalf of the benefiting schools and pupils, expressed gratitude to its patroness for the gesture and called on other well-meaning individuals to emulate her commitment to educational advancement.
