The Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board, Victor Olusegun Ategbole, has expressed appreciation to the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation for honouring him with an Award of Excellence in Health as part of activities marking the 50th anniversary of Ondo State.
Ategbole, who is also the Bobagunwa of Oka-Akoko Kingdom, described the recognition as humbling and motivating, saying it reflected collective efforts to reposition healthcare delivery in the state.
Speaking with journalists after receiving notification of the award, the US-based medical consultant noted that the honour underscored ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening public health institutions and improving access to quality care for residents.
He commended OSRC for what he described as five decades of credible broadcasting, public enlightenment and promotion of cultural values, adding that the corporation’s Golden Jubilee symbolised resilience and institutional growth.
The health administrator dedicated the award to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, attributing progress in the sector to the administration’s policy direction and commitment to healthcare transformation.
Ategbole said the recognition would spur further reforms, partnerships and initiatives targeted at delivering affordable and accessible health services across the state.
He also congratulated other award recipients across various sectors, describing them as individuals whose contributions had continued to advance development in Ondo.
“As the state marks 50 years of creation, the honour reinforces the need to build stronger institutions and secure a healthier future for our people,” he said.
He reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining improvements in the health sector and contributing to the state’s development.
