Suspected burglars have broken into a phone charging shop in Jada Local Government Area, making away with more than 40 mobile phones belonging to customers.
The incident reportedly occurred at a charging outlet owned by Muhammad Mai Caji, located along the Unguwar Duta’era road, while the operator had stepped out to observe the Isha prayer at a nearby mosque.
Sources within the community disclosed that the stolen phones were devices deposited by customers for charging, leaving both the shop owner and the owners of the gadgets facing significant losses.
The attackers were also said to have taken away cash generated from the shop’s Point of Sale transactions during the operation.
Confirming the incident, the shop owner said the case had been reported to the police, adding that efforts were ongoing to notify affected customers about the theft.
