An aspirant for the Ondo State House of Assembly, Akintunde Akintayo, has congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on his first anniversary in office, praising his administration’s performance and reaffirming his commitment to grassroots advancement.

Akintayo, who is seeking to represent Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo State Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, described the governor’s leadership as purposeful and development-driven.

In a statement marking the milestone, the APC aspirant commended the administration for recorded progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare and workers’ welfare across Ondo State.

He noted that road construction and rehabilitation projects executed across the three senatorial districts had enhanced connectivity, stimulated commerce and eased transportation challenges for residents. He also applauded investments in public schools and health facilities, saying the interventions had improved access to quality education and healthcare services.

Akintayo further hailed the governor’s attention to workers’ welfare and economic initiatives, describing them as indicators of steady progress in the state.

The aspirant also highlighted youth empowerment programmes and support for small and medium-scale enterprises, which he said had expanded economic opportunities for young people.

Reaffirming his loyalty to the ruling party, Akintayo expressed confidence that the governor’s policies would further position the state as a leading force in the South-West region.

Reflecting on his personal contributions to his constituency, he said he had supported market women with financial assistance, facilitated educational aid for students and implemented community-based interventions aimed at improving livelihoods.

He added that his ambition to represent the constituency in the Assembly was driven by a desire to complement the state government’s development efforts at the grassroots.

Akintayo concluded by praying for continued wisdom and strength for the governor as he steers the affairs of the state.
