Akoko South West/South East Reps race heats up as Ajongbolo declares intention

A United States-based investment advisor, Seun Oluwashina Ajongbolo, has declared his intention to contest the House of Representatives seat for Akoko South East/Akoko South West Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

Ajongbolo made the declaration at a gathering attended by party leaders, traditional rulers, youth groups, market women and other stakeholders from the constituency.

Speaking at the event, he said his decision to seek elective office was driven by a desire to use his international exposure to attract development and opportunities to the Akoko area.

According to him, his focus at the National Assembly would include youth empowerment, infrastructure development and programmes that would position young people for opportunities in the global economy.

Ajongbolo noted that despite the rich cultural heritage and hardworking people in the constituency, challenges such as youth unemployment, poor road infrastructure, limited healthcare access and educational barriers still persist.

He pledged to work towards attracting federal projects to the constituency while promoting initiatives that would support farmers, artisans and small-scale entrepreneurs.

The aspirant also promised to expand scholarship opportunities for students and facilitate employment prospects for young people in federal institutions.

Ajongbolo expressed support for the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that his representation would align with the Federal Government’s efforts to drive economic growth and national development.
