How Ondo retired Vice Principal killed neighbour during dispute

A 54-year-old woman, Caroline Agoi, has reportedly lost her life after an alleged assault by her neighbour, Alhaji Abdullahi Kasim Ayodele, in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The tragic incident was said to have occurred along Uselu–Isuada Road in Owo following a disagreement between the two neighbours over a nylon bag that the wind reportedly blew into the suspect’s compound.

Residents said the retired school vice principal accused the woman of throwing the nylon into his premises, an allegation that sparked a heated exchange between them across their fence.

The situation reportedly worsened when the suspect, accompanied by his son, allegedly left his house and went to the woman’s residence in anger.

Eyewitnesses claimed that the suspect picked up a bench in front of the victim’s house and allegedly used it to attack her, with his son said to have assisted during the assault.

It was gathered that the woman, who was reportedly on the phone with her husband at the time, collapsed during the attack and later died.

The spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, confirmed the incident, stating that the suspect had been arrested and that investigation into the matter was ongoing.
