The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Ondo State, Dr Kayode Ajulo (SAN), has commended Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for what he described as a sweeping transformation of infrastructure across the state, particularly the ongoing beautification of Akure, the state capital.
Ajulo, who spoke in Akure on Friday, said the newly constructed road intersections and installation of modern traffic lights in the capital city reflect a deliberate effort by the Aiyedatiwa administration to reposition Ondo as a model of urban development.
The commissioner described the intersections as “world-class masterpieces,” noting that they combine functionality with aesthetics while enhancing road safety and traffic management.
He said, “The governor is not merely constructing roads; he is building a legacy defined by order, beauty, and excellence. These modern intersections have elevated Akure to a standard that inspires pride among residents and visitors alike.”
Ajulo stressed that infrastructure development must be complemented by responsible road use, urging motorists, commercial riders and pedestrians to adhere strictly to traffic regulations.
He added that the state government would, in collaboration with the judiciary, establish mobile courts to ensure prompt prosecution of traffic offenders.
According to him, the initiative, to be executed in partnership with the Chief Judge of the state, is aimed at enforcing compliance and sustaining the gains of the ongoing urban renewal drive.
“The mobile courts will serve as a mechanism for deterrence and correction, ensuring that violations are swiftly addressed while safeguarding lives and public infrastructure,” Ajulo said.
The attorney general maintained that the success of the administration’s developmental strides would depend largely on citizens’ willingness to embrace discipline and uphold the rule of law on the roads.
