OYAT throws weight behind Tinubu’s policies, unveils Akure North coordinator

The Ondo Youth Alliance for Tinubu has expressed support for the reform policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing the initiatives as pro-people measures aimed at improving the living conditions of Nigerians and securing a better future for the country.

In a statement issued on Thursday and signed by its Director-General, Thalis Olonite Apalowo, the group said some of the reforms that initially appeared challenging were beginning to produce encouraging outcomes across various sectors of the economy.

According to the alliance, key economic indicators have started to show signs of improvement, citing a gradual decline in inflation, easing food prices and increased inflow of foreign direct investment.

The group also noted that Nigeria’s foreign reserves had risen to about $40bn, which it described as the highest level recorded in the past two years, adding that the development reflects growing investor confidence in the nation’s economy.

OYAT further stated that relative stability in the education sector has enabled students to complete their academic programmes without disruptions from industrial actions by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

The alliance urged Nigerians, particularly youths, to remain patient and supportive of the administration, stressing that the long-term benefits of the ongoing reforms would have a positive impact on different sectors of the economy and improve the welfare of citizens.

Meanwhile, the group announced the appointment of Omojola Femi Michael as the new Local Government Coordinator for Akure North Local Government Area.

The newly appointed coordinator replaces Temiloluwa Oluwalade following what the organisation described as an internal restructuring aimed at strengthening its grassroots mobilisation structure.

The alliance expressed confidence that Michael would bring renewed commitment and energy to the group’s activities, particularly in mobilising support for the President’s policies and encouraging youth participation in governance at the grassroots.

OYAT reiterated its commitment to sustained grassroots engagement and advocacy for policies that promote youth empowerment, national development and good governance.
