WHO SHE IS
Abisayo Modupe Busari-Akinnadeju is a lawyer, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), governance expert, published author, and civic leader — and she is Nigeria’s most intellectually prepared presidential aspirant for 2027.
Born on 20 January 1983 in Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, she is a proud daughter of the Akoko highlands who has spent fifteen years building her country across all six geopolitical zones before asking it for anything in return.
She is married with children — a fact she carries not as a biographical footnote but as evidence of the kind of Nigerian woman she is: one who builds simultaneously in the private and the public, who understands what it means to nurture a family while a government fails its people, and who knows that the future of this country is inseparable from the futures of the children being raised inside it.
She holds degrees from the University of Cambridge, King’s College London, Obafemi Awolowo University, and Nigerian Law School, with additional executive credentials from Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard Business School, and Oxford. She did not acquire these qualifications for decoration.
When she enrolled in the Cambridge Global Executive MBA in January 2024, she told her cohort on the very first day that she was there in deliberate preparation for governance. That is the kind of candidate she is — one who plans, prepares, and then acts.
If elected in 2027, Abisayo Busari-Akinnadeju would become the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s first female President. She is not running because it is a milestone. She is running because Nigeria needs her, and she is ready.
