A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, Buba Galadima, has declared that President Bola Tinubu would be defeated in the 2027 general elections regardless of the circumstances.
Galaduma made the assertion on Tuesday while addressing members at the party’s convention, where he criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress and accused it of undermining opposition parties.
According to him, Tinubu’s chances in the next election are so slim that even an unlikely candidate could secure victory against him.
“I want to remind them that even if there is no living human being in Nigeria, and we present a corpse in a coffin against President Tinubu, I assure you the corpse will win the election in 2027,” Galadima said.
He further alleged that the APC-led administration had made concerted efforts to weaken opposition platforms, listing the Peoples Democratic Party, Social Democratic Party, New Nigeria Peoples Party, Labour Party, and the ADC among those affected.
Galadima urged opposition members to resist what he described as intimidation and political suppression, stressing that unity and courage were essential to challenge the ruling party.
He also noted that the successful conduct of the ADC convention, despite alleged interference, demonstrated the party’s determination to operate independently without external control or influence.
