The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji, Dr Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, has felicitated Christians and Nigerians on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration, calling for unity, love and moderation.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the institution’s Governing Council, Academic Board, management, staff and students, Ebeloku congratulated the Christian community within the polytechnic and across the country.
He said Easter, which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, symbolises sacrifice, love and redemption, urging Nigerians to draw lessons from its significance.
The rector noted that the season presents an opportunity for citizens to rise above challenges, strengthen their faith and promote unity both within the academic community and the nation at large.
He enjoined Nigerians to uphold the teachings of Christ by loving their neighbours, stressing that such values remain vital to sustaining peaceful coexistence in homes, workplaces and society.
Ebeloku also urged citizens to use the festive period to foster compassion and service while celebrating responsibly.
He wished Nigerians a joyful Easter celebration, accompanied by God’s blessings and divine salvation.
