A House of Assembly aspirant for Akoko North West Constituency 1, Hon. Odudu Ayodele Samuel, popularly known as Manifold, has called for a shift from short-term handouts to sustainable, community-driven development.
Ayodele, who is contesting under the All Progressives Congress, made this known in a statement on Saturday, where he emphasised the need for what he described as “endogenous development” in the constituency.
According to him, meaningful progress can only be achieved by investing in local capacity through skills acquisition, knowledge development, and opportunities that empower residents to improve their livelihoods.
He argued that reliance on material gifts offers only temporary relief, stressing that equipping people with practical skills would create long-term economic stability and growth within the constituency.
The aspirant noted that his vision is anchored on practical leadership that prioritises teaching, training, and mentorship as tools to combat poverty and drive inclusive development.
He added that fostering homegrown solutions would not only benefit Akoko North West Constituency 1 but also position the area for broader impact across the country.
Ayodele urged residents to support a development-focused agenda that promotes competence, community participation, and sustainable progress.
He maintained that with the right leadership, the constituency could achieve lasting transformation driven by the collective efforts of its people.
