A House of Representatives aspirant for Akoko South East/Akoko South West Federal Constituency, , has called on residents to embrace unity, love, and collective development as Christians celebrate Easter.
In his Easter message issued on Sunday, Adeyeri described the season as a period of hope, renewal, and transformation, urging the people to reflect on the significance of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He said the celebration serves as a reminder that challenges are temporary and that faith and perseverance can lead to victory and progress.
“Easter reassures us that no matter the trials we face, there is always light after darkness and joy after hardship,” he said.
The aspirant stressed the need for unity among communities in Akoko South, noting that meaningful development could only be achieved in an atmosphere of peace, mutual understanding, and cooperation.
He urged constituents to rise above differences and work together in pursuit of shared goals, adding that unity remained the foundation for sustainable growth.
Adeyeri also emphasised the importance of compassion, selfless service, and support for the less privileged, noting that the teachings of Jesus Christ exemplify sacrificial leadership and care for others.
Speaking on development, he reiterated his commitment to promoting youth empowerment, education, economic advancement, and social welfare across the constituency.
“Our youths are critical to our future, and we must continue to invest in their growth while supporting our elders,” he added.
