A leading presidential aspirant on the platform of the Action Democratic Party, Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas, has constituted a five-member Legal Advisory Committee ahead of the party’s presidential primaries scheduled for May 29, 2026, in Abuja.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday by the National Publicity and Media Director of the National Youth Alliance, Kuvie Oyibo.
According to the statement, the committee was established to provide legal and procedural guidance for the campaign and ensure compliance with constitutional provisions and due process during the primary election process.
Oyibo said the committee would also oversee all legal frameworks relating to the conduct of the forthcoming presidential primaries.
The committee is headed by Ogele O. Morakinyo as Lead Counsel, while Ibrahim Ambore Nuhu, Aliyu Yunusa, Maduka Peter, and Mubarak Mu’azu are members.
The statement noted that the constitution of the committee underscored the campaign’s commitment to transparency, internal democracy, credibility, and the rule of law as preparations intensify ahead of the primaries.
“The constitution of this high-level committee further demonstrates the campaign’s unwavering commitment to transparency, constitutional compliance, internal party democracy, credibility, and the rule of law as preparations intensify ahead of the crucial primaries,” the statement read.
Bin Abbas is among aspirants positioning for the ADP presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.
