An aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in Akoko North-West/North-East Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress, Morufu Tosin Ibrahim Murphy, has expressed confidence of emerging victorious in the party’s forthcoming primaries and the 2027 general elections.
Murphy, in a statement made available to journalists, attributed his optimism to what he described as growing support from constituents and divine backing.
He said his ambition was driven by the desire of the people for improved representation, noting that residents of the constituency had long yearned for purposeful leadership at the National Assembly.
According to him, “My aspiration is a response to the call of my people who are demanding a representative that will truly project their interests and deliver meaningful development.”
The aspirant criticised what he termed ineffective representation in recent years, pledging to prioritise the welfare of constituents and provide focused leadership if elected.
He assured that his tenure would be marked by people-oriented policies, responsive lawmaking and facilitation of projects that would positively impact the constituency.
Murphy also appealed to party members and stakeholders to support his bid during the APC primaries, promising not to betray the confidence reposed in him.
He added that his goal was to restore public trust in leadership and ensure that Akoko North-West/North-East regains its voice in national affairs.
