AAUA: Prof. Fayose to probe extraterrestrial intelligence at 62nd inaugural lecture

A Professor of Space Physics at Adekunle Ajasin University, Sola Rufus Fayose, is set to deliver the institution’s 62nd inaugural lecture, focusing on the link between extraterrestrial intelligence and human existence.

The lecture, scheduled for May 12 at the university’s Multipurpose Hall, is titled “Earth and Extraterrestrial Intelligence: Nexus for Human Existence and Comfort.”

According to a statement by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Adebisi Daramola, the Vice-Chancellor, Olugbenga Ige, will chair the event.

Fayose is expected to examine how insights from Earth science and space research can enhance human survival and well-being.

The professor, who joined AAUA in 1997 and rose to professorial rank in 2021, has contributed extensively to research in space physics, with several publications and international conference presentations to his credit.

He has also held key academic and administrative positions within the university and is a member of multiple professional bodies in Nigeria and abroad.
