Ahead of the forthcoming Senatorial Primary Election the Ondo North Senator, Ipinsagba received royal blessings and endorsements for second term from the Olukare of Ikare-Akoko, Oba Saliu Akadiri Momoh IV.
The Federal lawmaker received the royal blessings during a visit to the monarch’s palace in Ikare in Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Ipinsagba, who visited the palace alongside his supporters and political associates, was warmly received by the traditional ruler, who prayed for the success of the senator’s second term ambition ahead of the APC senatorial primary.
Speaking during the visit, the monarch commended the lawmaker for his contributions to the development of the district and wished him victory in the forthcoming exercise.
The senator also secured endorsements from prominent leaders, as the APC in Akoko North East LG under the leadership of Hon. Imam Saliu Mumuni Olanrewaju, all 13 Ward Chairmen , Ward excos and all the party statutory leaders unanimously backed his re-election bid ahead of the party’s primary.
Student unions across tertiary institutions within Ondo North Senatorial District equally declared support for the senator, citing his empowerment programmes and educational interventions across the district.
Responding, Ipinsagba appreciated the constituents and party members for their continued support, pledging to embark on more developmental projects if re-elected for another term in the Senate.
“I am grateful for the love and support from our people. I remain committed to attracting more projects and programmes that will improve the lives of our people across the six local government areas in Ondo North,” he said.
The senator also pledged to build a new APC secretariat for Akoko North East Local Government and promised to construct a recreational centre in Ikare-Akoko to promote social activities among residents.
At the event, Ipinsagba declared open his bursary programme for students, announcing that application forms would be made available at his senatorial office in Ikare-Akoko.
As part of his tour, the lawmaker inspected the ongoing Oja-Oba modern market project located within the Olukare palace vicinity and also visited the Ikare Civic Centre, which is set for commissioning.
The senator added that several developmental projects had already been executed in five other local government areas within the senatorial district, assuring constituents that he would continue to initiate life-changing programmes for the people.

The attention of concerned stakeholders and indigenes of Ikare Kingdom has been drawn to the unfortunate incident that reportedly occurred yesterday at the palace of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Alh.) Akadri Saliu Momoh IV, CON, the Olukare of Ikare Kingdom, during the visit of Ondo North Senator, Pastor Jide Ipinsagba.
What was expected to be a moment of engagement and mutual understanding reportedly turned into an open expression of disappointment by members of the Ikare Council of Chiefs and concerned indigenes over the Senator’s alleged poor representation, disconnect from the grassroots, and perceived neglect of the people who entrusted him with the mandate to represent Ondo North Senatorial District.
Many stakeholders expressed concern that rather than returning home to account for his stewardship and reconnect with constituents, the Senator has allegedly been preoccupied with political lobbying in Abuja in pursuit of an automatic return ticket ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Particularly disturbing to many community leaders was the unresolved issue surrounding the pledge reportedly made by the Senator during the last Ikare Day celebration. According to concerned voices within the kingdom, despite repeated efforts made to reach the Senator regarding the financial promised support, all attempts proved abortive, thereby creating disappointment among organizers and members of the community.
It was further recalled that during the last senatorial election, prominent traditional leaders and respected stakeholders in Ikare made significant sacrifices and political efforts in persuading other aspirants, including notable political figures, to step aside in support of Pastor Jide Ipinsagba for the collective interest of the constituency. Many indigenes now believe such goodwill and confidence ought to have been reciprocated with impactful representation, visible development, and stronger grassroots engagement.
The mood within the kingdom reportedly reflected growing dissatisfaction over what many described as inadequate performance, poor accessibility, and insufficient constituency impact since assuming office.
The people of Ikare Kingdom remain committed to accountable leadership, fairness, and the continuous development of Ondo North. Stakeholders therefore urge all political office holders to remember that leadership is a sacred trust bestowed by the people and must be sustained through performance, humility, accessibility, and genuine service to the masses.

This news is far from the truth, The only endorsement that happened at Olukare Palace yesterday was the endorsement of Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye who's the concensus candidate of Ondo North Senatorial District, The message of Mr governor to the palace was loud and clear that all his consensus arrangement is still subsisted.
