The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji, Dr Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, has felicitated with Muslims across Nigeria on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Adha celebration, urging them to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, obedience and kindness to humanity.
In a goodwill message released on behalf of his family as well as the management, staff and students of the institution, Ebeloku described the Islamic festival as a period for reflection on faith, patience and total submission to the will of Allah.
The rector noted that Eid-el-Adha remains significant in the Islamic calendar because it reinforces believers’ hope in the power of Allah and the importance of unwavering faith.
He said the celebration symbolises the exemplary obedience demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to sacrifice his son in fulfilment of Allah’s command.
Ebeloku called on Nigerians, particularly Muslims, to extend love and support to the needy and vulnerable members of society during the festive season.
According to him, the spirit of sacrifice associated with Eid-el-Adha should inspire citizens to build communities rooted in love, gratitude, resilience and peaceful coexistence.
He also urged residents to uphold good neighbourliness and share their blessings with less-privileged persons.
The rector prayed for peace, happiness and a successful Eid-el-Adha celebration for Muslims in the institution and across the country.
