A presidential aspirant on the platform of the Democratic Liberation Alliance, Abisayo Busari-Akinnadeju, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims across Nigeria on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In a goodwill message issued on Thursday, Busari-Akinnadeju urged Nigerians to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, compassion and peaceful coexistence, which she described as the core lessons of the Islamic festival.
The presidential hopeful said Eid-el-Kabir symbolises faith, total submission to God and commitment to humanity, noting that Nigerians must use the occasion to promote unity and national harmony.
According to her, the country requires collective sacrifice, tolerance and sincere leadership to overcome its socio-economic and security challenges.
Busari-Akinnadeju called on citizens to continue praying for peace, stability and progress in the country, while urging leaders at all levels to prioritise the welfare of the people.
She also encouraged Muslims to extend love and support to the less privileged during the celebration, stressing the need for empathy and kindness in society.
The DLA aspirant expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome its current challenges through unity, responsible leadership and the collective efforts of citizens.
She wished Muslims across the country a peaceful and memorable Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
