Eid-el-Kabir: RUGIPO Acting Rector felicitates muslims

The Acting Rector of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State, Engr. Dr. Olorunwa Lawson, has congratulated Muslim faithful on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, urging them to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, and compassion associated with the festival.

Lawson, in a statement made available on Friday, described Eid-el-Kabir as a significant period that symbolises total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

He noted that the celebration also reflects the values of faith, love, devotion, and selflessness, which are essential for promoting peaceful coexistence and national development.

The acting rector said the lessons of the season should inspire members of the institution and Nigerians in general to work towards unity and harmony in society.

According to him, sacrifice and compassion remain critical ingredients for strengthening relationships within the Polytechnic community and the country at large.

Lawson further encouraged staff and students of the institution to imbibe the teachings of the season in their daily activities in order to build a more productive and peaceful society.

He also called on well-meaning Nigerians to remember the less privileged during the festive period while offering prayers for sustained peace, stability, and progress of the institution and the nation.
