The candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the Akoko North East State Constituency election, Hon. Olumuyiwa Ogunyemi, also known as Eyiyato has expressed appreciation to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, party leaders and supporters following his victory at the party’s House of Assembly primary election.
Ogunyemi, in a statement issued on Thursday, described the outcome of the primary as a reflection of unity, loyalty and the collective resolve of party members in the constituency.
He said the victory was made possible through the support, prayers and encouragement of APC members and residents who stood by his aspiration before, during and after the exercise.
The APC candidate particularly commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for what he described as his commitment to fairness, peace and internal democracy within the party.
According to him, the governor’s leadership and dedication to democratic principles had continued to strengthen confidence among APC members across Ondo State.
He said, “What we witnessed was not merely a political exercise, but a testament to faith, unity, loyalty and the collective spirit of our people. This victory belongs to every man and woman who prayed, encouraged, sacrificed and stood firmly with us throughout this journey.”
Ogunyemi added, “I specially appreciate Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his exceptional leadership, fatherly guidance and steadfast commitment to fairness and democratic principles. His leadership has continued to provide hope and direction for members of our great party.”
He also appreciated the APC state chairman, members of the State Working Committee, party leaders, stakeholders and the primary election committee for ensuring a peaceful and credible process.
The APC candidate further thanked youths, women, elders and supporters across Akoko North East Constituency for their contributions to his emergence as the party’s candidate.
Calling for unity among party members, Ogunyemi said, “The primary election has come and gone, but our collective destiny and commitment to the development of Akoko North East remain greater than any contest. Let us continue this journey together in unity and with one vision.
