A gender advocate and humanitarian, Precious Olofinyokun, has celebrated the birthday of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, with a charity outreach to orphanage homes in Akure, Ondo State.
According to a statement by her media team, the initiative was aimed at extending support to vulnerable children while also recognising the minister’s leadership and humanitarian values.
The outreach, which covered selected orphanages across Akure, involved the distribution of food items, educational materials, clothing, toiletries and other essential supplies valued at millions of naira.
The statement described Olofinyokun as a passionate advocate for women, children and social inclusion, noting that her interventions have continued to bring relief and hope to underserved communities.
Speaking ahead of the outreach, she said the initiative was designed not only to celebrate a leader she described as compassionate and people-oriented, but also to remind society of the collective responsibility to support vulnerable children.
She commended Tunji-Ojo for his commitment to youth empowerment and inclusive governance, adding that his achievements in public service continue to inspire many Nigerians, particularly young people and social development advocates.
Olofinyokun noted that celebrating leaders should go beyond ceremonies, stressing the need to use such occasions to impact lives positively.
The outreach attracted community leaders, youth groups, volunteers and well-wishers who shared a common vision of promoting compassion and social responsibility.
