Residents of Noforija community in Epe area of Lagos State received free medical services, food items and vocational training as the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries expanded its humanitarian activities in the area alongside the dedication of a new church auditorium.
The outreach programme was organised by MFM Lagos Region 1, Lekki Mega Regional Axis, Igbo Efon, ahead of the dedication of the ultra-modern MFM Region 210 headquarters in Noforija.
The General Overseer of MFM Worldwide, Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, was represented at the dedication by the Assistant General Overseer, Pastor Kehinde Adegbolahan.
The event attracted worshippers, community leaders and church officials, who described the establishment of the church as a boost to spiritual and community development in the area.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Region Overseer of MFM Region 210, Pastor Tunde Oluwaleye, said the church would serve not only as a centre for worship and deliverance programmes but also as a platform for counselling, youth development and charitable activities.
According to him, the ministry is committed to winning more souls for Christ while contributing to social development within the host community.
Delivering a sermon titled “Prayers to Provoke Wonders,” Adegbolahan urged Christians to live impactful lives worthy of their faith.
“You are supposed to be a wonder to your generation because you belong to Jesus Christ whose name is Wonderful,” he said.
As part of the outreach, residents received free medical consultations, drugs and health checks conducted by a team of medical professionals.
Head of the medical team, Dr Victoria Olubukunola Ayeni, said residents benefited from tests including blood pressure checks, fasting blood sugar tests, prostate screening and other laboratory services.
She added that pregnant women and patients suffering from ulcers, stroke and other ailments were also attended to during the exercise.
The church also distributed food items and cash support to widows and vulnerable residents to cushion the effects of economic hardship.
In addition, participants were trained in vocational skills such as soap and perfume production to encourage entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
Speaking on the initiative, the Senior Mega Regional Overseer of MFM Lekki Mega Regional Axis, Pastor Moses Adebowale, said the outreach formed part of the church’s Explosive Evangelism Initiative introduced by Dr Olukoya.
Adebowale, represented by Pastor Olufemi Odelabi, said the church had continued to combine evangelism with humanitarian services aimed at positively impacting lives.
He noted that beyond spiritual programmes, MFM had consistently embarked on scholarships, youth empowerment, prison evangelism, widow support and other social intervention projects.
District Evangelism Leader for Lekki/Ajah Axis, Evangelist Patience Udeme, explained that the outreach was designed to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of the people.
According to her, the church regularly organises food evangelism, market outreaches, prison visits and crusades as part of efforts to win souls and support vulnerable groups.
Many residents who benefited from the programme commended the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful. They urged other organisations to emulate such humanitarian gestures to support struggling communities.
