The Senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Olajide Ipinsagba, has congratulated elder statesman and leader of Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, on the occasion of his 100th birthday anniversary.
Ipinsagba, in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday, described Fasoranti as a symbol of integrity, courage and selfless service whose contributions to national development and Yoruba unity remain invaluable.
The lawmaker praised the centenarian for his unwavering commitment to justice, democracy and good governance over the decades, noting that his life had continued to inspire generations of leaders across the country.
According to the senator, Fasoranti’s dedication to the progress of the Yoruba race and Nigeria at large has earned him respect beyond political and ethnic boundaries.
He said, “Pa Fasoranti is a rare patriot, a voice of wisdom and a leader whose legacy of honesty, discipline and service to humanity will continue to stand the test of time.
“At 100, Baba remains a shining example of purposeful leadership and unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of our nation.”
Ipinsagba also commended the elder statesman for his role in promoting peace, education and socio-political development in Ondo State and the South-West region.
The senator prayed for continued strength, sound health and divine grace for Fasoranti as he celebrates the milestone age.
He urged younger generations to emulate the virtues of sacrifice, patriotism and humility exemplified by the Afenifere leader throughout his lifetime.
