The Royal Brothers Club of Nigeria has congratulated Samuel Omopariola Odimayo on his emergence as the Olofun-Elect of Ode Irele Kingdom in Ondo State, describing it as a milestone in the community’s history.
In a statement issued by its President, Ebisanmi Kayode, the group said the development marked the end of an eight-year interregnum following the death of Oba C.O. Lebi in 2018, restoring stability to the traditional institution.
The club commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for facilitating a peaceful resolution of the prolonged vacancy, noting that his intervention underscored commitment to preserving cultural heritage and strengthening traditional leadership.
It also lauded the Irele Local Government Authority and the kingmakers for conducting what it described as a credible and transparent selection process.
According to the group, the emergence of Odimayo presents a fresh opportunity for unity and accelerated development in Ode Irele, urging residents to rally support for the incoming monarch.
The statement expressed confidence in the capacity of the Olofun-Elect to provide purposeful leadership, citing his experience and dedication to community service.
The club further prayed for wisdom, good health and a peaceful reign for the monarch as he prepares to ascend the throne.
