ADP Presidential candidate appoints as Chief of Staff

The presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party for the 2027 general elections, Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas, has appointed Hamza Sanusi Nasarawa as his Chief of Staff.

The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced in a statement issued on Sunday by the candidate's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson.

According to the statement, the appointment is part of efforts to strengthen the party's campaign structure and improve coordination ahead of nationwide political activities in preparation for the 2027 polls.

Nasarawa, a native of Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State, is expected to play a key role in supporting the presidential campaign and coordinating strategic engagements across the country.

Speaking on the appointment, Abbas expressed confidence in the ability of the new Chief of Staff to contribute meaningfully to the realisation of the campaign's objectives.

He said the decision was informed by Nasarawa's leadership qualities, administrative experience, commitment to public service and dedication to democratic values.

The presidential candidate added that the new appointee would oversee the operations of his office, coordinate activities within the campaign structure and facilitate engagement with stakeholders nationwide.

"As Chief of Staff, he will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the Office of the Presidential Candidate, facilitating strategic engagements and ensuring effective collaboration among campaign teams and stakeholders," the statement noted.

Abbas congratulated Nasarawa on his appointment and expressed optimism that his experience and commitment would enhance the effectiveness of the campaign.

The ADP presidential hopeful also reiterated the party's commitment to offering Nigerians what he described as a credible alternative focused on national development, security, unity and economic progress.

The statement added that the party remains committed to promoting inclusive governance and providing leadership capable of addressing the country's challenges.
