The National Vice Chairman (South-East) of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has described the APC as the most organised and formidable political party in the country, citing its internal structures and membership strength as key factors behind its dominance.
Arodiogbu stated this in Owerri, Imo State, while commenting on the internal disputes reportedly affecting the Nigeria Democratic Congress ahead of future electoral contests.
The APC chieftain said attempts by rival political parties to adopt the ruling party’s direct primary model had exposed weaknesses in their internal organisation, resulting in disagreements and leadership tussles.
According to him, a political party can only sustain a transparent primary process when it possesses a solid membership base, clear direction and functional structures across all levels.
He argued that the challenges confronting the opposition party reflected deeper organisational deficiencies, adding that the APC had consistently demonstrated its ability to manage internal democratic processes.
“The APC has continued to show what a disciplined and member-driven political party should look like. Our structures are strong, our members are committed and our focus remains clear,” he said.
Arodiogbu commended elected officials and party stakeholders, particularly in the South-East, for what he described as their loyalty and commitment to strengthening the party in the region.
He expressed confidence that the ruling party would remain a dominant force ahead of the 2027 general elections, noting that its growing support base and organisational capacity positioned it favourably.
The APC leader urged members across the country to remain united and focused on the party’s objectives, insisting that its foundation and governance record would continue to attract Nigerians seeking sustainable development and political stability.
