A pro-President Bola Tinubu support group in Ondo State, BTO'SENIYAN, has expressed support for the All Progressives Congress National Working Committee's decision to review the outcome of the party's primary election in the state, describing the move as timely and necessary for the party's electoral success.
The group, in a statement on Monday, appealed to the APC National Working Committee and President Tinubu to take steps to preserve unity within the party in Ondo State, alleging that recent developments could undermine the party's cohesion ahead of future political contests.
According to the group, the review of the primary election process would strengthen internal democracy and enhance confidence among party members, insisting that the exercise was in the overall interest of the APC.
BTO'SENIYAN also alleged that a protest held in Akure was organised in opposition to the APC National Working Committee's decision.
Expressing concern over what it described as growing internal disagreements, the group warned that the situation could weaken the APC in Ondo State if not promptly addressed.
It therefore urged the National Working Committee to stand by its review committee and ensure that all grievances arising from the primary election were fairly handled in the interest of justice, party unity and future electoral victories.
The group maintained that strengthening internal reconciliation and respecting the party's constitutional processes remained the best path to sustaining the APC's dominance in Ondo State and consolidating support for President Tinubu's re-election bid.
