An aspirant for the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Engr. Adebayo Adesida, has received the African Democratic Congress nomination form after emerging as the party's candidate for the 2027 general election.
The nomination form was presented to Adesida, popularly known as Owo4, on Thursday at the ADC secretariat in Akure by the party's Organising Secretary, Engr. Dare.
Speaking after receiving the form, the party's candidate expressed optimism about his chances in the election, saying he was prepared to offer what he described as effective representation for the people of Owo/Ose Federal Constituency.
Adesida said he was confident of delivering better performance if elected into the National Assembly.
According to him, his decision to contest the seat was driven by his conviction that the constituency deserved improved representation after the current lawmaker's eight-year tenure.
He maintained that he possessed the capacity and experience required to attract meaningful development to the constituency and improve the quality of representation.
The ADC candidate unveiled a four-point agenda that he said would guide his legislative and constituency development efforts if elected. The programmes are centred on infrastructural transformation, grassroots security and human capital protection, economic empowerment through vocational technology, and equitable representation and inclusivity.
He said the agenda was designed to address the developmental needs of the constituency while ensuring that every community benefits from responsive governance and people-oriented policies.
The ADC candidate also said he chose to contest on the platform of the party because he believed it offered Nigerians a credible political alternative.
He criticised the administration of the ruling All Progressives Congress, alleging that its policies had imposed hardship on many Nigerians.
Adesida pledged that, if elected, he would work with the ADC to provide purposeful leadership and pursue policies aimed at improving the welfare of constituents and promoting development across Owo/Ose Federal Constituency.
