A media expert and former Head of the Mass Communication Department at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Mrs Iyadunni Adedowole, has congratulated the St. Catherine's Old Girls Association on its 70th Founders' Day anniversary, describing the milestone as a reflection of seven decades of excellence, faith and enduring sisterhood.
Adedowole, who spoke on behalf of the association's 1990 set, popularly known as The Trailblazers, joined other alumni in celebrating the platinum jubilee of the association, praising the vision of its founders and the dedication of generations of members who have sustained its ideals since its establishment in 1956.
In a congratulatory message, she said the anniversary offered an opportunity to reflect on the association's journey and its contributions to the personal growth of its members and the development of society.
She commended the sacrifices of the founding members and lauded the commitment of old girls across different generations for preserving the values and traditions that have distinguished the association over the years.
"Happy 70th Founders' Day. We celebrate seven decades of vision, legacy and impact. We honour our founders and everyone who has kept the dream alive. We are proud of our past and optimistic about the future we are building together. Congratulations to all members," Adedowole said.
The 1990 set also wished members a successful anniversary celebration, expressing confidence that the association would continue to uphold its core values of grace, excellence and sisterhood for generations to come.
The association's 70th Founders' Day anniversary, themed "Celebrating 70 Years of Grace, Excellence and Sisterhood," is expected to attract old girls from across Nigeria and the diaspora to commemorate the institution's enduring legacy.
