Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and former governor, Olusegun Mimiko, are among prominent personalities expected at the Aremolekun Comeback Music Concert scheduled to hold in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Friday.
The event, organised by the Pillar of Bethel Angelic Voices, is expected to attract political leaders, traditional rulers, clerics and gospel music enthusiasts from within and outside the state.
According to the organisers, Aiyedatiwa will attend as the Special Guest of Honour, while Mimiko is billed to serve as the Father of the Day. The member representing Ondo East/Ondo West Federal Constituency, Abiola Makinde, will chair the occasion.
Other expected guests include the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande; Deputy Governor Olayide Adelami; Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji; and the Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, Biyi Poroye.
Also expected are former Ondo APC Chairman, Ade Adetimehin; Commander of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye; former Commissioner for Information, Eddy Olafeso; and several government officials and political leaders.
Traditional rulers, including the Olumafon of Imafon, Oba Samuel Adegbehingbe Aliu, and the Olumoru of Imoru Kingdom, Oba Oluwarotimi Obamuwagun, are expected to attend as Royal Fathers of the Day, while the Founder of Success Gate Cherubim and Seraphim Christ's Church International, Primate Ade Ademisokun-Turton Onibode, will serve as the Spiritual Father of the Day.
The concert, themed "My Prophet, My King (Woli Mi, Oba Mi)," is scheduled to begin at noon on Friday at Motailatu Church of God, Oke-Idahun Parish, Aremolekun Mountain, along Imafon/Igbatoro Road, Akure.
The programme will feature gospel ministrations by Prophet Samuel Babatunde Sotitobire, Evangelist Funmi Aragbaiye, Evangelist Akin Adebayo, Evangelist Elijah Akintunde, Evangelist Toluwalase Adelegan and Evangelist Olu-Wale Aniyikaye, alongside performances by invited church choirs and members of the Gospel Musicians' Association of Nigeria.
Founded in 1997 by Very Rev. David Akinadewo-Adekahunsi, popularly known as Aremolekun, the Pillar of Bethel Angelic Voices has spent nearly three decades promoting evangelism through gospel music.
The ministry has produced several albums, including Gbami Mo De, Kowee, God is Spirit, On the Altar, Aremolekun, Orin Imole, Kosolododo, Gbe Motailatu S'oke and Ogo Orimolade, among others.
Chairman of the planning committee, Hakeem Gbadamosi, said the concert would celebrate God's faithfulness to the ministry over the past 30 years while providing an atmosphere of worship, praise and spiritual revival.
He appealed to individuals, corporate organisations and other well-meaning Nigerians to support the programme through sponsorship and partnerships to ensure its success.
