JUST IN: Atiku appoints aides on community engagement


The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Atiku Abubakar, has appointed Alhaji Aliyu Bello as Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement and Dr. Victor Moses as Special Assistant on Community Engagement.

The appointments were announced in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Atiku Media Office in Abuja, which said the appointments were aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement and advancing the campaign's community mobilisation efforts.

According to the statement, Bello is an experienced journalist, entrepreneur, international trader and grassroots politician with a background in public service and youth development.

It noted that he holds a Master's degree in Mass Communication and has obtained professional certifications in Leadership and Business Management.

The statement added that Bello previously served two terms as the Kaduna State Peoples Democratic Party Youth Leader, where he championed youth participation in politics, and later served as the party's Financial Secretary in the state before joining the ADC.

It said his experience in media, business, politics and community engagement would enhance grassroots mobilisation and broaden youth participation in the party's activities.

The statement also described Moses as a scholar, entrepreneur and public affairs strategist with close to two decades of experience in strategic communication, political mobilisation, behavioural research and community engagement.

According to the statement, Moses holds a doctorate degree in Psychology and has served as the National Publicity Secretary of the Atiku Support Organisation since 2021, where he played a prominent role in stakeholder engagement and grassroots mobilisation.

Congratulating the appointees, Atiku expressed confidence in their ability to contribute to the party's objectives and wished them success in their new assignments, urging them to work towards achieving the campaign's shared vision.
