The Publisher of Topshot News Africa has announced that the member representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Hon. Festus Olanrewaju Akingbaso, popularly known as Fessywest, will receive the Man of the Year (Grassroots Leadership/Legislative Impact) Award at the organisation's seventh anniversary celebration scheduled for Sunday, July 12, 2026.
Also to be honoured at the event is Olori Folashade Momoh IV, who will receive the Queen of Enduring Legacy Award in recognition of her humanitarian efforts, promotion of cultural heritage and contributions to community development and social empowerment.
The organisers said the awards were instituted to celebrate individuals whose leadership, service and commitment have made significant contributions to nation-building and grassroots development across the country.
According to the organisers, Akingbaso was selected for the honour in recognition of his grassroots-oriented leadership, legislative performance and commitment to improving the welfare of his constituents.
They added that the awards reflect Topshot News Africa's resolve to recognise and celebrate individuals whose exemplary leadership and selfless service continue to inspire positive change in society.
Other recipients of the Leadership Legacy Awards include Dr. Omolayo Ibitoye Olubosede, Dr. Abiodun Oyeneyin, Dr. Edino Ezekiel Idoko, Dr. Yetunde Olagbuji, Hon. Abel Akinloye Ogunniyi and Mr. Adeolu Gboyega.
The anniversary celebration, themed, "Leadership, Influence and Legacy: The Responsibility of Today's Leaders," will feature a keynote address by Dr. Ola Olalere, while Agbaka Obasuyi Afolabi, the Agbaka of Alagbaka, will serve as chairman of the occasion.
The event will also feature the unveiling of the organisation's distinguished patrons and matrons as part of activities marking the milestone anniversary.
